All India Solo Salsa Championship 2012
17th March, 7.00pm
The All India Freestyle Solo Salsa championship is for one and all.
There is only one category: no classifications, no demarcations, limited rules and the idea is to have fun
with out going through the hassles of finding a partner, rigorous rehearsals, extra preparations, sleepless nights and all that jazz.
All you have to do is showcase your Salsa on Stage for 2 minutes. You can bring your own track for a maximum of 2 minutes (only one track on the audio CD) or the DJ will play any music of his choice for 2 minutes.
There are some marks for the technical aspects of the dance as mentioned below in the judging criteria.
Please remember any lewd gesture while dancing may lead to disqualification.
Last date for Registrations is March 11th 2011.
Entry Fee: Rs. 1000/- per Competitor
There is only one Prize for the winner: A nice BIG Rolling Trophy + Certificate + Gift Prizes worth Rs. 1 Lakhs
Rules:
The DJ plays his own music or music brought in by contestants, one track of 2 minutes per CD and contestants dance in an order determined by lotto on the night of the competition for a period of 2 minutes.
Judging criteria:

- Appearance and Showmanship 10%
- Originality 10%
- Technique 15%
- Difficulty 10%
- X factor 15%
The decision of judges for is final and binding, no discussions will be encouraged.
